I think what makes some video games so addicting is just the wording- you know when it asks you if you want to QUIT this game right now.
Who wants to be a quitter?! Not me. And then I keep on playing until I realize I need to finish my homework...which is usually 3 hours later...

That's just what I think though.

Take WoW for instance
It's games where people can totally become a seperate character. Almost like creating a new second life. That's what it felt like to me when I played Matrix Online, and that's why it was so hard to pull away, because when I was playing I could forget about all the junk I was procrastinating on in real life -_-
